My system:
Scion Pioneer Premium Head unit
Hifonics Brutus 1600W x 1
Hifonics Zeus 85W x 4
2 Kicker Solobaric L5 8 " subs
Diamond Audio S600S components in front

The amps are under the cover. I made it this way so I can still use the space. I still need grills for the subs.

If any of you are located anywhere near San Jose, CA. and need a competent, ****, obsessive-compulsive perfectionist to meet your car audio needs, Bing is your guy. If you're still looking for another **** obsessive compulsive for something else, then you might want to try Craigslist in the personals section. But seriously, I simply told him that I have a $2K budget that I saved from canceling the stock navigational unit option, and he said no problem.

Why spend 2 grand on just the stock navi when you can get ALL this for a similar price?
Pioneer AVIC D3 + Ipod Adapter + Steering Wheel Controls
Image Dynamics 6.5" Components
Image Dynamics ID12v3
Simplicity Sound Custom Installation

Goals:
1. Decent SQ on a budget
2. Full stealth while retaining all storage bins in the back.

Upfront, the signal starts with a Pioneer Avic-D3 Navi Headunit. Front stage is a pair of Image Dynamics Chameleon 6.5" component set with the tweeters sunk into the A pillars.

Here's a closer look at the driver side tweet...

The Chameleon mid basses were mounted in the stock location and as usual, the entire door is dampened with Edead v4 and ue...

To save me some $$$, we agreed to leave the rear speakers stock running off the D3. After auditioning to the car, I have absolutely no regrets with that decision.

As for the trunk, this is what it looks like when you open the hatch. As you can see, 100 percent completely bone stock looking...

Even when you remove the carpet, it looks like this--STILL looks like stock!

Lift up the stock floor cover, and here is the system. Fake floor in CF vinyl, a single ID12v3 sits in a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure, while a DLS performance CA51 5 channel runs the entire show, framed by a cut out. The amp is running the front stage active, sending 65-75 watts to each mid and tweet, and around 250 watts to the sub

It's so simple, it's genius...

D-unit, I like the material used to cover your enclosure.

Here is my take on the stealth install.

The sub is in a seperate box, the amps are mounted on an angled rack, and then the cover is attached via cap bolts. The amps are under a 1/4" glass window.

I finally built a false floor. I need to rebuild it and cover it. This is my first false floor I've built and I did learn quite a bit.

And my amp rack.

I reeeeeeally need to invest in a digicam.

Default Stealth install

Here's my setup:

One RocktheBeef designed sub box, .26 cf or so...

One Pioneer 8" slim sub, 120w RMS...

and one Pioneer GM-3300T 2 channel amp bridged to a single 150w RMS...

You can't see any of this unless you move the seats all the way forward. It's a very SQ oriented system. All the components complement each other and sounds very clean and sharp. I love how Scion has made the car so user-friendly, from the ease of wiring (pop out panels everywhere) to special features to accommodate add-ons (like the firewall pass-through nipple and the little bracket on top of the battery that's perfect to mount a fuse holder to).

Doesn't the sub cause a lot of rattling in the spare tire location? If I was to get a JL Audio 8w7, where would be a good, relatively stealthy location? I've read that the 8w7 subwoofer provides about the same bass as a good 12" sub.

i finished my newest trunk enclosure. i changed the old purple suede for one that matches a little better, made an in-ground box for 2 subs with star cut-outs looking in that light up blue, opened the middle space up to change the old 7" screen to a 19", and have Rock Band for the Wii!
