I just bought a great 2013 xB with 16,5XX miles, great car. I am confused about the in dash MPG indicator. You set it one way and it's all over high heaven...useless.
You put it on AVG and it stays at 26.6 all the time. I have only driven it about town, mostly boulevards, isn't it supposed to change even when set on AVG?

Yes. The first one you describe is the instant MPG and it will change very often. The AVG. will remain more stable. Since you bought it used, I would suggest re-setting the AVG indicator as the more time between resets, the less it changes.
