Default Converting manual AC switches to digital ones

so the package of the rumion air con controller arrived today, only took 3 days from Japan

unpacked it and its like brand new condition, took my controller out

oh wtf?

the plugs are different

hmmm

turns out the povo pack build 1 rukus use manual levers for hot/cold and mode controls instead of digital servos

so knowing Toyota Australia, do I spend a few or even several hundred bucks to up spec my car?

I'm anxiously awaiting your decision. I'd love to do this or tie auto climate control into a carputer.

Default A/C switch conversion

+1, DJ.-Bob

Have you asked this in other parts of the US? I would not replace a whole new AC unit. If you were in Tampa Florida, I would say bring it over.... LOL

As a start, begin looking for common elements. Did you purposely get a different panel?

What was wrong with the stock/original one?-Bob

I've been wanting to do this to my '08 xB for quite some time now. But was concerned that it would take a lot more than just swapping out the panels/dials. A friend of mine did a manual/auto A/C conversion in his 240sx. I'm going to check out his thread on the zilvia forums to see how difficult that was

What ever happened with this? Curious to know what was involved.
