so, i'm going to be in the market for a new touch screen headunit, and i'm looking for some advice. i'm looking for a double din unit with amazing ipod controls. i like the touchscreen click wheel and i'd like it to play videos as well. it's got to be able to change the colors of the buttons on the headunit to match the stock interior lighting. and it's gotta be able to deliver great sound quality. what is everyone here running? i've seen good reviews for the d3, but i used the clarion maxsomethingorother in my xa and loved it, so i'm a little torn. is there anything new that has or will be coming out soon? let me know.

 

Most people who want something in this category get the AVIC-D3, as you mentioned. It's $500ish right now, which is a great deal (This is what I got). I would go to crutchfield.com and read reviews of Head Units, then buy one elsewhere to save money.

ended up getting the d3. should be here in about a week. opted for the bluetooth, sterring wheel control adapter, and ipod cable. i'll scoop up a back up camera soon. i got it for a ridiculous price on ebay.

 

Not sure what you're looking at here, but I got the Boyo VTL-300 and am quite happy with it. It's made of steel, is quite sturdy, and you really can't notice the camera unless you're looking for it:

About the license plate reverse cam, how do you guys route it from the head unit to the plates without exposing the wires? (Sorry for being a noob)

havent used a bluetooth on the d3 but if u want a d3 without the navi pioneer is making a new double din virtually the same as the d3 just no navi for like 500
