Default Help with head unit decision...

Hey, so I have recently decided to upgrade from my stock head unit and get a better one. I don't have a whole lot of money to spend on one, so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions as to ones that you would prefer or that you have used. Navigation is a plus, but not necessary... would definitely appreciate the help 'cause it seems like there are too many choices for me to choose from!!

How's the GPS in this? I've been thinking about doing an upgrade with my headunit, and some people have been telling me to go with Kenwood because it's fast and is powered by Garmin navigation.

I had a JVC in my '78 Firebird before and it was a great headunit. But this was back then when CD's were what you wanted in your car and iPod's hadn't hit the market yet.

I would go with Kenwood too. I have a Pioneer headunit on my car but the navigation is not that good. Sometimes it can find the address.

Thanks for the input! Well I will definitely look into the Kenwood's... my best friend has a Kenwood in his tC and he loves it... I'm in his car a lot and I've played with it every now and then and I like it too. Definitely will consider them.

Just don't fall in love with the tC and betray the xB.

Why not buy the 2008-2010 nav factory system. It's alpine it seems decent. If any has used this before can you provide feed back. Thanks

Great navi system, but WAAAY overpriced for what it is. No Bluetooth, and you can't enter destination points while the car is moving either (although I never did the navi-hack and that may allow it). For 1/3rd the price you can get better after-market head units with navi & bluetooth.

Yea, I was gonna say the exact same thing Cionide. WAAYY too overpriced.... while I have been looking lately, I have come across the Pioneer AVIC-X920BT... has the look I want with all the features for reasonably priced.

I totally agree with you guys..most of the option for our car if you get it from the dealer expect it to be overprice..thats why i always go for aftermarket bcoz you got alot of options..
