Default iPhone compatibility

Has anybody else tried their iPhone with the iPod dock in our xB's? My iPhone connects, plays, etc......but the whole time I'm using it there is a message on the screen saying "the accessory you are using is not supported by your iPhone". It works, but I don't want to damage anything. Anybody else run into this?

I use my iPhone as well for playing music while driving. I get the same message, when it asks to press "yes" or 'no" select no so you still get incoming calls.

Never understood that message of it not being supported.....works just fine

Don't worry about it. It just means it isn't Apple-certified as "works with iPhone". Very few accessories are. Put it in airplane mode if you're concerned about GSM buzzing (which has never been a problem for me), or select no to be ablt to tkae calls on your bluetooth earpiece.

I use my iPhone all the time with the iPod cable. The message you get is basically a warning that you might get GSM buzz through the speakers, and gives you an option to turn on Airplane Mode (which turns off the GSM radio, but makes it so you can't receive calls, either.)

I never turn on Airplane Mode (choose the "No" option on the message) and I have never had any interference at all. Works like a charm...charges, too, which is a great bonus!!
