Default Leather is so much nicer.

Okay, been trying to decide what to do about my steering wheel. After a few months of searching and waiting. I found a leather TC steering wheel, cost me 45 bucks with shipping on ebay, great deal considering I had seen some stock Xb plastic wheels for around 50 bucks + shipping. Took the jump, thanks to TRDsparks instructions and walla, leather steering wheel. Though it isn't completely black it is actually very well color matched to the factory interior of the XB

And now I can take my old wheel to my fabricator and see what he can do about mating my carbon fiber wheel to the factory mount so maybe I can eventually put that steering wheel to use again. And if he can't, I have this leather one which feels more sporty and comfortable already.

Oh and for those who have used the PAC adapter for their stereo controls, I don't remember but, do they light up when you turn the lights on?

Nice looking wheel, and yes, the mode button illuminates with the PAC-SW when you turn the lights on.

So will the xB airbag and steering wheel trim/controls fit onto the tC steering wheel? All you need is the wheel itself, right?

Woodgrain is nice on a luxury car. The leather is nicer than the stock plastic for this ride. The steering wheel controls fit and airbag fits from the Xb, it isn't a perfect match, but livable for my daily driving.

What does it take it take to make a tc wheel work?

It is pretty much an even swap. Everything bolts up in the same spots but the alignment of the plastic pieces of the stereo controls and the other side are is a little different. You could probably get the plastic pieces off of a TC to go along with the TC wheel and it would fit neater. Other than that it looks fine.
