The box was made to fit right where that foam tray and cover was so its snug like OJ's glove. Using a 12 inch power akoustic and a kenwood amp all from bestbuy. Also have Infinity refernce 6 1/2 speakers in place of the stock ones in the car.

 

clever, but hanging your amp upside down is a no no. how does it sound?

 

The bass hits hard and is tight sounding, not muddy at all. its perfect for enjoying music and not annoying the hell out of other people....until i turn it up ive actually made car alarms go off in parking lots hahaha.

 

oh and as for the amp hanging upside down, it doesnt get any hotter than it would right side up.

 

i remember reading hanging it upside down causes problems with the heatsinks or whatever. why risk it?

 

yeah i hope it doesn't cause more wear and tear on the amp.. heat rises... so even though that little fan is blowing down.. all the hot air is ust rising back up on and around that area where the amp is mounted.. but the box looks good man and as long as you got to keep your trunk room and spare then that's good

Well ive had the amp like that since january and i havent had any problems yet... I guess if anything happened to it i would mount it somewhere else rightside up. thanks for the input though!
