Default Navi Hack with Switch - How it really works

Hi

Just did the switch navi hack, it interrupts the VSS wire, so you don't get greyed out.

One thing, if you do it while on a destination, it does not reflect accurate turns or position. they are off until it does a recalc I thought the Navi used satellites and not just the VSS wire for it position and travel.

Anyone else have this and what have your found.

I have had the same problem and still haven't been able to fix it. You ever find the fix for that problem?

Yes, i fixed it.

after you hack and all done ready for use, disconnect the negative battery out in clear view of the sky.

wait 10 minutes,

reconnect and turn on the car. you do no have to start it, just so the navi is on and able to load and sit for 15 minutes. this is only done once to reset the Navi

You car has to gather satelite information and then it works OK,

also, it take about 1/4 mile for it to adjust after you turn on the VSS again.

works great now. LOVE IT!!!!
