I need help with wiring of the cig lighter, I'm going to install a dual usb in it's place and need to know color of positive and color of negative. I'm sure it's been covered in another forum post.

There should only be 2 wires on that plug. Generally the positive wire has a line or dashes or some kind of marking on it to indicate its your positive and the solid color wire will be your negative. With the simplicity of a USB controller though, if you end up wiring it backwards the circuit will likely just not work without damaging the device. You should be able to swap the wiring around and have it work properly afterwards.

Thanks for the help, I'll try again tomorrow. It's starting to get warm outside, lol. I have better things to do than do that.

Ain't that the truth. I started to go exercise walking at 10am. The heat index was "Yeah, right."

We bought a cig lighter converter from Amazon - one of these with 2 USB outlets. My son recommended it after seeing a review on "wire cutter.com"

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B182976/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B182976/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Took it on a trip to England and it worked great for the whole month we were there. It was able to power 2 Apple devices, without that annoying "not enough power" error message popping up... which makes the Apple device shut down.

Saves all that sweating - specially as we had a daily record temp of 114F yesterday. They say the "heat index" is less than 114F, due to our low humidity in Phoenix??? How can it be less??? I can confirm it is bl%^$&y hot.
The AC in the car confirms it, have to run the fan on 2 or 3 to keep it reasonable. Back in the Midwest, it could cope with the fan on 1

Heat index - Bah humbug
