Is your ipod a iphone or ipod touch? If so, did you upgrade to the new OS? If so, do a hard reset on it and it should work as advertised.

On the iphone/ipod touch, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of the device for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. If that does not work, press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Do not mistake this for a factory reset that erases everything and returns the device to a "virgin" state. I am not sure how to do a reset on a Nano. Google "reset Apple Nano", I'm sure the directions are on-line.

I'm not trying to insult you or anything... but did you make sure that the volume on your iPod is turned up? (LoL)

I did that when I first got my xB... I plugged my iPod in, played it and was no sound came out.... total silence. I got all ____ed & couldn't figure out what was wrong... that is, until I realized that the iPod volume was all the way down.

Doh!!
