damn if you asked this question yesterday i would have made a DIY. right now they are drying...

if you know how to remove the pieces then its quite simple. sand with 320grit and smooth out the surface. dont half ___ this. 80% of painting is preparation then paint in light coats and wait 10mins between coats. so far i have about 7 layers and getting ready for a final coat and then clear coat.

good luck!

I woulnd't recommend heat. They are just plastic. Even though paint may be dry to the touch it still needs plenty of time to fully cure and harden.

You may not have let it dry long enough. But if you did and that happened, you may not have had the part clean enough. You need to make sure it's all really clean as even oil from you skin can cause some problems. It could also have been if you put too heavy of a coat on and on the surface it felt dry but there was a lot of wet paint underneath. That's why several light coats are the way to go. Heavy coats rarely produce good results.

For general spray can tips you can search online. I saw a write up that a model car builder did with pics, his end results were smooth as glass. And the techniques used are basically the same.

dont heat the plastic. it comes off that easy cause you didnt prep the surface. gotta sand it with 320grit. then you can use plastic primer then paint or straight to krylon fusion.

between coats about 15min dry time. then let it sit for at least 24 hours.

your should stick with the same brand of paint so that the paint wouldnt react improperly.

so let me get this right...ive already tried and failed horribly at this.

i already have a few layers on the pieces but i wanna start over.

so i sand down the crappy paint, paint light coats, finish with clear...

right?
