Default Rumion orange / blue illumination lights (2way mode)

I purchased the Toyota Rumion JDM orange / blue illumination lights on Ebay and installed it in my car a few days ago. Installation wasn't to hard . Only had to take a few panels off , splice one wire and drill holes . The blue and orange lights come on when you open the door and stays on while the doors are open .Then goes off about 8 seconds after the doors are closed. Only the orange light goes on when you turn the headlights on at night and stays on until the headlights are turned off .
The lights go on in the front and the back of the car like the picture below

Lights installed in my car. The camera didn't capture the orange light and only show the blue but both colors are on.

Only the orange light on . Blue light in the back is the interior light kit 4-N-1 with cup holder illumination (US Scion option)

Picture taken during the day time. You can kind of see the orange light with the blue

Loooks cool though.. First time I've ever seen these... good job on the install...

Yeah the orange light stays on all the time while you drive but only if you turn on the headlights. So it won't be on while you drive during the day. Also comes with a on and off switch so that you can turn the whole thing off if you don't want the lights to come on at all

That is so pimptastic! That seller has a whole bunch of Rumion mods on Ebay.... just search for "rumion" on Ebay and you will find it.

Hmm. Like the orange, hate the blue. I've been looking for an easy solution to 'entry lights' that fade off when you close the door...

If you want to wire up lights that will fade out. then you could wire into your dome light ciruit..
the dome stays on for a while when you enter the car & close the door.. BUT when you turn your key to 'ON" then it fades out...

If you want to know where to wire them up to the dome light circuit, then look here in the puddle lights thread...

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...15536&start=20

Now you could install any leds you want & wire them to this circuit to get the effect you're looking for.....

http://www.oznium.com/

Look to here & find you some orange lights & think of a place to stick them so they'll light up the foot areas of your car....

good luck & post picture of what you do.....
