Default Secret Mode on OEM Stereo for gen2??

I was reading how some of the 1st gen can change the text on their OEM stereo in "secret mode". Does anyone know how to do this in the 2nd gen? I tried the instructions for the 1st gen and it didn't happen....Anyone?

If you mean changing the welcome screen to a custom message it is in the manual... Mine says "Shaff-Nasty" when i turn my car on...

That is what I am talking about. I didn't get a manual for the raido and it doesn't seem to be in the owners manual....could you possibly tell me how to do it? I would love to change mine

Thank you so much! That worked perfect! It was just a little different than the pre 06 stereo's...and now my radio says Avon-Box- Rocks.

I couldn't figure out how to just make a space so I did dashes...I suppose I could have scrolled through....timed out a few times...but it works!

Yeah but at least each time it timed out it went back to where I need to put in the next letter so it wasn't too bad. It will be a pain resetting after disconnecting the battery when I get around to doing the interior/exterior lighting mods. But at least now I know how to do it....Thanks again! YOU ROCK!

If you press and hold down the "SSP" button, you can select between different audio hardware layouts (Car Models "XB, XD or TC)... I have found that changing it to "XD" enhances the base and makes the overall audio more clear.

Default Another Super Secret . . . . .

If you hold down the "mode button" on the steering wheel the radio will turn off.
