Thinking of some subs.
I am a fan of audiobahn subs, its what i usually use. I was thinking of putting some 12's in my XB. I usually use 12" subs which is why i was thinking 12's. Prolly a sealed box, and an amp to push the subs. Just for some loud bass not a competition or anything. I have the alpine stereo, does anyone know if it was an amp wire factory? I haven't looked yet just being lazy since im at work.
Are you wires ran all on the inside? What panels have to be removed to conceal them. Wire length; RCA, Power Wire, Amp Wire?
Also a different question, do you guys secure your boxes with straps or anything or do they usually stay in place?
any answers or opinions would help.

As far as running wires. your basic amp kit on ebay should be enough for length of cabling.
i would reccomend a new HU if u can afford it
i run the avh-p4100dvd AMAZING almost 2 years later.

Make sure that the box you make for the Audiobahns have the right internal volume and is airtight. A good material is Medite MDF (3/4" works best). Easy to cut (wear a dust mask, as the dust really irritates the nose and lungs), remember to predrill your screw holes and use carpenters glue. If you don't feel like carpet, paint the box with truck bed liner paint (comes in a wide variety of colors, all black). Then stuff with the recommended amount of fiber fill, add drivers and wire, then rock on!

and i second the dust mask, unless you like gnarly saw dust boogers lol
Good idea with the silicone caulk, forgot about that. I found the toughest holes to make in a box are for the terminal cups. So easy to cut them a little too large, making it difficult for the screws to get a good hold with a thin edge. I forgot to mention to put small plywood blocks inside the enclosure where your speaker screws would go. They'll give the screws better support and grip, and won't wear out if you need to remove the driver to tune the box with stuffing (and no, don't ever use Stove Top Stuffing...it goes nasty after a few days in a hot car).
