Unconnected?
I removed the glove box to take a look at my cabin air filter and I noticed, off to the right, stemming off of the large chunk of wires taped together, there is a white connector that isn't connected to anything. Does anyone know what that's for? This thread is probably useless without pictures so I'll take some tomorrow, just wanted to ask first since searching came out cold.
Nope
, it could only be "disconnected" if there was actually something there for it to connect to.
jnaval was correct to say "isn't connected to anything".
There's actually 2 of those little pre-wired connectors coming off that harness branch, and they are there to wire up the passenger side of the accessory Scion Security System RS3200.

Thanks CIONIDE. I have Scion Security so that took one of the connectors up and after looking at some installation manuals, it looks like the second one is for the Scion Remote Start accessory. For a second, I thought I had something missing.
Maybe you should break a window & test the security system, just to make sure they didn't miss a connection with that available one.
And papo, the message you deleted earlier came into my email, so I want to make sure you know I was just having fun with you.

The lighted door sills tap into B-pillar wires, and the interior lighting upgrade taps into wiring under the center console. One of the two pre-wired connectors is definitely for the security system, and as you and jnaval said, the other could be for the remote start.
