has anyone painted the A,B,C pillars to match the rest of the interior? and if so what kind of paint did u use...

 

i dont have an xb but ive painted 2 tcs whole interior with black fabric paint and it came out nice no fading or nothing

 

But our pillars in the xb arent cloth like the tc. Would it still work the same way.

 

I have been wanting to do this as well, but what did you guys do about the tan/gray seat belt clips in the pillars? are they easy to remove and paint or did you swap them out?

 

did it already. use duplicolor vinyl dye. sticks better than anything else. just clean it off and spray it down. no less than 3 light coats will do it.

 

What about the seat belt holders?

 

what about them? take them apart and paint them.

 

Ok I haven't looked at them incredibly hard, just wasn't sure how easy it was.

 

wish i could remember exactly how i did it. i just kind of played with it until i figured it out.

 

did you use primer first or straight on paint them?

 

which paint did you use? any idea how many cans you used? i'm wanting to do that to mine til can get it sueded in fall/winter.

Don't need primer, just spray it on.

Use duplicolor vinyl paint. I used the black for carpet on my old car and seats as well. Came out like a brand new car. Looked tons better. Thinking of doing this with my roof liner and side pillars and all.

what color did u use? the charcoal gray or flat black??

which would better match the interior color??

 

I went with flat because satin and gloss will have a shiney appeal to them . Just make sure to scuff the surface so the paint adheres to the item.
