Default 09 XB DASH NOISE

I have about 5500 miles on it now. This is the first week of "cold" weather for us down here (35° high/20° lows) and now I am getting a squeek/rubbing sound in the front left corner of the dash. I also noticed a smaller noise in the left A-pillar area and thought that might be the loose nuts that have been discussed here before. That was the first noise I heard. Now this much larger/louder dash noise is there anytime there is suspension movement. Turns, bumps, stopping, etc. Smooth roads and no sound. Not happy at all because I really don't want to have to deal with the retards at the dealership. This "IS" a warranty issue, but they will either "not hear it" or deny coverage because I lowered it or some stupid something.

It has nothing to do with the suspension. This is a noise inside the car, in the forward left top corner of the dash. Like it is moving against the paint and squeeks like your shoe on the floor. DRIVES ME NUTTS!

Anyone had this noise? Any ideas? I think it must be a dask attachment point nuts that are not tight enough now that the cold weather has made the dash shrink a bit. Just a thought.

^^ How about NO! Not unless I just have to. The guys in our shop pull dashes, but not me dude!

That does bring up a question.... is there a link on how to take the dash apart? I know lots of folks are changing the gauge faces, and the radio, so how does it come apart? I would rather expose the bolts and tighten them myself, rather than take it to the dealer.

I really want to take the top inst cover off as a start. I would also like to know how to get to the radio. The only data in the tech pages is for the Xb not the XB2.

Sorry, never heard a buzz of any kind.

I just posted an xB2 doc link in the "Service Manual" thread. Should help you I'd think!
