Default 2008-2009 Cabin filter

Just wanted to mention that cabin filters for our 2nd Gen Xb's are at a good price on ebay, sellers name is aircabinman.

Breath in the good stuff.

For those ebay newbies, type this item no. into the search box: 120326347295

I just replaced mine after 16k miles. Aside from the leaves and debris that was stuck in it, the entire thing was black!

I opted to go the DIY route and used a 3M 1250 (ultra allergen) filter from Home Depot. It was $15 and the filter is big enough to make 4 xB-sized ones. You do have to cut them to size however which takes a bit of time and the end result isn't pretty, but nobody sees it.

Regardless, the eBay or DIY method sure beats paying the dealer $59.99 to replace it. It would probably take an hour and a half there too.

ehh.. i like the DIY method.. you get to go and choose what kinda of filter it is, but then sure.. you have to cut it down to size..

Seems the one I had been buying from autozone for my 06 xa is a great fit. Of course the xa had a tray it slid in. The oem filter seems rather flimsy and only effective for catching leaves.

I just took mine out, washed it in some tide, air dried and put it back in, good as new.
