I can't believe Darren didn't mention the most obvious reason for not going Turbo. He is a resident of the Peoples Republic of Kahleephornia. And unless you get this neat little sticker or placard from CARB to go along with your aftermarket products they are illegal to install on a street driven car here.

Any schmo can perform an engine swap in his front yard, that if done according to the regulations is 100% street legal.

unfortunately, in texas we have had George Bush and Rick Perry as our last two governors. If you don't know, they could care less about our enviroment and we have few laws in place to regulate emissions. Which means turbos aren't a problem but it also means don't visit houston unless you want to find out what global warming smells like.

Trust... there is no need to lecture me, or anyone else in CA about air quality.

Just look at the National rankings. California is the only state with more than one city in the top 10 of worst air quality in the nation. Also Fresno (where I live), Sacramento (where Darren lives) and Bakersfield are ranked numbers 11, 12 and 13 respectively.

Fresno... where the air is so thick, you can taste it.

Better yet... just take a look at the American Lung Association site.

http://www.lungusa.org/site/pp.asp?c...b=50752#graph1

I grew up in Visalia. I moved to Fresno last October, and I still commute to Visalia for work every day. You tell me if I have any idea what bad air is like?

Toyota was able to fit the 1AZ-FSE 2.0L diesel engine in the Voxy/Noah. It's time to update the Voxy/Noah. The Hollywood Extra spy pic (white w/cardboard packing) shows similar dimensions. Also the hood line angles down like the Voxy/Noah. I like the rear sliding doors.

Voxy w/KenStyle kit

Noah w/several kit makers

Not bad but a little too minivan looking. I'd like to see them on the road but I wouldn't buy one.

More info about the new models!

The redesign will be a 2008, and come out about the same time as the new Corolla in early 2007 - probably about April.

The 2008 xA will also come out in early 2007, no word at all on the design. Just that they are going for a all new look on both models.

This means that the 2006 model will shortly be hard to find. We just recieved a good amount of them so Scion is going to do their best to build up inventories and support them as long as possible. Pretty much expect their to be no xA's or Xb's on the market for up to 6 months between the transition.

As for the tC, as has been discussed Scion plans to keep the current "Spec Package" in production. The majority of tC owners prefer to customize the appearance rather than buy a special edition of the vehicle.

Default 2007 XB

I have been told the the 07 will look more the the Diahatsu D. I think it is better looking than the Bb to me the Bb has a shovel nose and the "D" is more refined. I really wish I knew what color choices are going to be offered. There is a pearl white and a yellow gold that are very sweet.
As to the engine I was also told that it will have the Carollas engine and not the Camery juice. I have not heard anything about AWD but really doubt that will happen.

You have to remember that Scion is a entry level car so spendy things like all wheel drive, turbos, and super chargers and the like would boost the price in to another level.

It would also be nice to see more airbags including side, head curtain, and knee bags.

I am sure that the aftermarket will have a whole host of things to add to your new beast.

It would be nice to see a more green Scion aka hybreed, who knows? Anything is possable i guess.
I do know the new Xb will be a nice ride, I hope to be lucky enough to own one.

You say AWD would raise the price out into another level but you want hybrid, ever seen how much you can get a prius for. Plus the whole meaning of scion is individuality, why would they make a hybrid, everyone and their dog would want it.

Toyota has stated that by 2010 they will have a hybrid version of all of there cars available. The Prius'es I have seen are running about 28K after they pile on every imaginable option, service, and charge they can think of.....
