There isn't a 2007 model. The 2008's are going to be redesigned.

i really wanna freaking know what the 07/08 xb would look like... coz right now i'm freaking confused whether to buy an 06 xb or just wait for the new redesigned one. i'm always bothered of this stuff... it doesn't give me a good night sleep at all...

indeed! im really confused coz i badly want this 1st gen xb... but im having 2nd thoughts... what if the 2nd gen xb is better? or what if i'll be waiting for the 2nd gen and i'll just be disappointed and stuff... and i'll just end up regreting why i didn't buy the 1st gen...

 

for some reason i have a feeling that if we call a dealership, and ask if the 2nd gen will be coming out soon, they'll probably say no..just so they can get rid of the older models.
man...this is frustrating....anyone got any info on the 2nd gen situation.
also, im confused on this whole "t2b" "concept bB" and "new xB model" thing...wuts going on??

 

Well, no one knows anything for sure. If you've read up on things then you should be in the same place as all of us. There is a fairly good idea of what is coming but nothing is certain. I suggest reading through all the rumor threads and then deciding if it's worth the wait or not.

 

We have SCION's not Toyotas, and we are talking about the 2008 xb, not the 2010 toyota scion xb. Well if they do make a hybrid model and get rid of the convetional, thank god i already got my xb. sorry to get all up in your face but i just hate it when people refer scion as toyotas. Even the people over at calty put emfessis on the fact that they love scion so much because its not toyota, or has a meaning,styling, apperance that isnt.

You might want to read the name of your car on its registration. You might also want to read the name on your window glass. In both cases you will find NO reference to Scion.............You B Drivin a TOYOTA...........

 

I guess we are not getting Terios/Rush 4x4. I rather have a Daihatsu Copen. Hard top convertible well under $20K...priceless.

 

If you want a terios, go buy a rav 4. I don't think scion is in the business of selling compact suv's. The copen is ugly too, IMO.

 

I just bought mine last week, and they are already going to update it. I love the car, the only thing I want is more power. Not much, but enough to pass someone on the freeway if need be.

That has to be the most snobie thig I have ever read. It's a scion not a Rolls or a Mybach the more the better I say! Yes indiviuality is important I have made my car different, and would like to think that there are alot of creative people out there that could do the same. It should be the new peoples car. It has everything needed to make it so. I know that a greener car such as a hybreed or a hydrogen car would cost alot but in the furture as the price comes down for such tech I think it makes sence. Toyota has been doing research into this for over 11yrs. I am sure that it would happen some day. Mabey the 2015 model who knows? RIght now we are getting 37mpg I would like to see it higher. more like 42mpg I have done the grounding thing and the cold-air intake. The car came with the DC sport exaust. We should get it dyno'ed to see wht the increase in HP is. I really noticed it when we put the grounding kit in. The trick there is not to daisy chain the install. with the intake I didi not really notice much in the power but the gas is going alot farther.

4WD/AWD is yes, 2 rather small engines (espically for the US), debatable styling.

JDM usually gets their cars & trucks about 3-6 months before we see the light of day so a winter '07 for the xB seems about right. Unless Scion makes radical changes based to focus groups (posted earlier by a fourm member), IMO this would be the shipping body style for the xB, again IMO.

Anyways, let the debate begin!

 

Here in the dealerships, we can't even get good information. My district rep and I were talking about this last week. He told me the xA and xB will be built right up until the end of December of this year. That means they will still be arriving in dealer's showrooms through the early part of February. The replacements will be here in April (xB) and May (xA) but there are not even hints at what it will be. At least not yet.

I really tried to get information out of my district guy. Either he's a very good liar or he really don't know anything more. He can't tell me if it will be larger or smaller, nor what engine it will have. He swears complete ignorance of the new model.

On a related note, the 4.0 will not be called "Mazora", although the color code of 3R2 is correct. The name will be "Torched Penny". No, I'm not kidding. I have it in my preference bank right now. The only description I have is that it will be some sort of color changing red.
