I have the same issue and if i apply pressure to the top of the windshield from the inside of the vehicle it goes right away... unfortunately the sound only happens above 80mph and when I took it to South Bay Toyota the service advisor told me that he could not drive my car that fast and if he couldn't duplicate the noise there was "not much he could do"

It seems that the actual seal isn't making perfect contact and that the wind is creating a whistling like sound at high speeds.

Just did a search and found this thread. Mine is making a whistling rattle like sound from the upper passenger side when I'm driving above 70 and it's louder if it's very windy outside. I'm going to try this fix and see if it works. I was thinking it was the upper roof rail strips that were somehow vibrating from the wind...

Off to Home Depot I go...

Idk if this is the same same issue as the 2009 but the creaking noise coming from the window is actually some hooks on top of the headliner u need to break those off there plastic. Thise hooks were not taken off during assembly so they make noise because they rub. Take a pocket screwdriver and break them off and u should be good. Right by were the rear view mirror under the headlinner

No man there weren't any plastic trim pieces there. I took a video of the sound so others can hear what mine sounds like. I pushed on the windshield during the sound and it goes away if you push hard enough...

Bought my 11 in march and it was doing this. From the top, inside the car. Dealer told me this same thing but they wanted it for the day and I coulnt do it right then. Warmer weather it went away, so now I wonder if its the cowl??

My 2014 is making this whistle/whining noise also. All when I'm on the highway, and worse when it is very windy outside. It does not do it all of the time, but sometimes, it will do it quite a bit. Very annoying.
I'm still under warranty, and I'll complain about it on my next service visit.

I'll try to remember to post their reply here.

Default It's front and back

Very good information in this thread to resolve the "popping sound at the front, lower, passenger side if the windshield. I pulled the wiper cowling off and took a drive to test results. Still had the "popping" niose!? Took a few minutes to assess and realize it was now coming from the back hatch door. The large trim cover below the back windows does the same thing as the front cowling. It has to be cushioned from the metal body as well.
