Default Aux. port

Has anybody had a problem with the "auxillary in" port in their new xB? For example:

1) lots of static
2) you have to turn the volume up over 50 and the sound is still low and muffled

Any input (no pun intended) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would think something may be up with the wiring if you have static AND have to crank it.

I had issues w/ static but purchased the following to fix it

It is a friend of mine who is trying to run his mp3 player through it. I don't have a make of the mp3 available. I'll try to grab further details asap. Thanks!

I would recommend a new patch cable from the MP3 player to the jack also - me and another member were fighting that issue last night only to find out the cable was bad....

I've had the problem with having to turn the volume up. I learned that I have to turn the volume up on the mp3 player in order to hear the music.

No static here but I do have to turn the volume to max on my MP3 player(SanDisk) and then adjust the volume on the radio to make it work correctly.
