me- naw
cop- ever gotten ticket for you tint?
me- nope
cop- nods so what kinda engine it have in it
me- oh just like the camry and rav4 engine
cop- can i look at it? is it fast?
me- its ok
cop- can it keep up with my charger
me- naw! im just sipping down my slurpee why hes just staring at my engine bay never finished a slurpee so fast in my life haha
cop- walked away
me- have a nice night

ok long but let me list all the things he coulda ticketed me for
1. exhaust
2. blacked out tail lights, turn signals, and headlights (no amber, orange)
3. no licence plate displayed in front
4. hid kit (that i just installed today)
5. headers
6. intake
7. tinted front windows

i guess i got pretty lucky
or like title says just played 20 questions with a bored cop

 

He should of ticketed you for spelling! Board is bored and minunte is minute. J/K glad you did not get a ticket.

Murrieta cops can either be complete dicks, because they have nothing else better to do, or be completely cool. Just dont get a run in with the motorcycle cops, ever.

actually friend was doing 45 in school zone and got stopped by motorcycle cop but let go

but for me chp motorcycle gave me 1st ticket ever "tint" had 5% on my altima coupe was less than a block from where i was going

 

its all in the matter of the situation. u either get lucky, or you dont.

 

Cops love ricer cars and even more people with clear corners to give tickets too. I was pulled over for having amber washer nozzles. No ticket, warning or even asked for my id.

They cant ticket you for one thing unless you screw up with the roads rules first, then if you run a stop sign, he can ticket, ticket, ticket, ticket away.

On the other hand I have had many guys of different back grounds from the various delivery companies the mail man, etc come up when I am working on my xb and adding stuff to look at it and ask about it. Never had that with the xa.

 

The vehicle wasnt on the road so you couldnt of really ticketed you for all that stuff. technically your not operating your vehicle so he cant get you for all the mods.


But can you be ticketed for the HID kits?? why?

 

Aftermarket HID kits are illegal no matter who you buy from. They are only legal if they come from the factory.

 

^^^ some states have an intensity or brightness limit. and most HID kits (especially when they aren't in a projector housing) are too bright and don't have the proper cut-off to keep the light out of fellow driver's eyes (both on-coming and when you are following)

i've got pulled yesterday the cop asked me to pop the hood and asked a bunch of questions about my injen cai, springs and exhaust. i've just told him everything come the way it is because mines is a special edition. everything comes in a package then i showed him the serial badge 210 out of 2500 next to the steering wheel. then he just say ok nice car and walk away. i didn't believe it worked and he fell for it hehe
