Yep, you have a resonator up front on the exhaust manifold, a huge @$$ cat underneath in the middle of the car, and a muffler in the rear behind the back axel.

If the Alhambra you live in is Alhambra, California, then removing that cat/resonator is a huge no-no.

Almost all mods are illegal in Cali.

the tC has a secondary cat in its exhaust system, so it is likely that the xB might as well. but removing it does not set off a CEL because the car has no way of detecting if is there or even functional, so depending on the inspections of your emission systems in your state, you could probably not have to worry about failing inspections.

Ii just dont see y it would be bad because all the exhaust systems for this car removes that scuba tank anyways so it cant be cat. Because all the newers cars have the cat righ next to the exhaust manifold for emmision purposes and the cat back e haust system from ebay or that i have seen remove that big scuba tank. So my plan was to instead of buying an exhaust system to just remove the scuba tank and put in a straight pipe

very few of the exhaust systems out there remove the cat, just the full ebay, magnaflow, and custom set ups as far as i remember. if you remove it and run straight pipe it will be loud and raspy as hell. a friend of mine is running that setup, idk how he drives it

Dont Run Straight Pipe...

Its really load and it sounds like you just have a really bad exhaust leak. If anything get a header remove the pre-cat and keep the scuba. Thats what most people do. I also added a custom dual exhaust and it sounds awesome Low and throaty similar to a Z.

Just don't do anything from the engine to the last o2 sensor and you'll be fine with whatever you want to accomplish per your city/state decibel level laws. If it was mine, I'd get a Borla muffler and 2 tips, then go to an exhaust shop that all the local hot rod clubs recommend and have that shop make a custom dual exhaust. It would probably cost the same as the Borla dual, but you'd have the tips YOU like.

I have TRD axle-back, scuba replaced with a normal resonator and to me it sounds great. Has a deep growl...kinda reminds me of a KA24DE.

Im not running a muffler im just running the scuba with no pre-cat.

Essentially my set-up is:

Weapon-r header
Custom 3 inch down pipe
stock scuba with widened 3 inch ports
mandrill bent Gibson 3 inch tubing
Gibson 3" round stamped inter cooled tips.

Thank you for sharing Pasquale.

How is the throttle response with the big 3" tubing?

Sweet ___ car Pasquale!!!

My set up I deleted the pre cat with the Strup header, stock scuba, and dual Borla exhaust. No mufflers either, just resonated tips. I don't know how they claim to be resonated, I can see straight through them! LOL!
