Troy was great to deal with. When I bought my xB, the finance manager at the dealership said the 100k extended service contract was $1495 and non-negotiable like the no-haggle car price. At 35,500 miles I bought the 6yr/100k Toyota Platinum zero-deductible extended service contract for $750. They also offered a 7yr/100k plan for $810, but I rack up miles way to quickly so I'll end up hitting 100k long before even the 6 years is up. Make sure to ask the questions to get the time & mileage plan that is best for your needs.

Nope, you can't buy a Toyota Extended Service Contract after the vehicle has passed the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty; in this case 3 years or 36k miles, which ever comes first.
There are many 3rd party providers that will sell you an extended service contract at your mileage level, but rarely as good as the Toyota contract and usually more expensive.

Just an FYI if anyone doesn't know, the 6 and 7 year extented warranty starts from the date of purchase of your vehicle (not date of purchase of the extended warranty).
I've thought about buying it as well but when you read what is NOT covered, it just seems like its not worth it.

I just know that one of the other wheel speed sensors is gonna need replacing. If the power steering control module fails again, I think I have a good argument for it to be covered since it was just replaced at 39,200 miles.
