And just because it physically fits, doesn't mean that it is designed for the xb. There are potential problems like heat soak, meaning that all the hot air gets trapped and you are just sucking in hot air, or maybe the design doesn't allow the best intake passage of air. It was designed for the tC which has more to do than it just fitting somehow

Nice Install. I like to see when someone has the courage to try something new. What does the butt meter say about performance improvements?
I don't think of the other posters as naysayers. I think they are just trying to point out potential issues. I'm sure others will chime in to help out if any problems arise. Let us know how it works out.

After studying both the xB2 and the tC, if you look at thier engine bays they are reletivley the same. aside from the fact that the xB's is slightly wider, and the tC's is slightly longer.
If the intake hooked up properly to all of the hoses and plugs, he shouldnt have a problem with anything.
Heak soak wouldnt be an issue unless the intake port was directly above the headers or somthing that produces that magnitude of heat, and considering it probably doesnt on the tC i figure it wont on the xB.
Only suggestion i would make would be maybe removing your front left quarter panel splash guard. that way you can insure that air is actually getting to the intake.
