I agree with Marshall, DIY is far more economical and you feel like youve accomplished something other than writing a check. Not to say that there wouldn't be people out there that would buy it.

i assume you're at work.. but please turn off the caps lock when you're typing on forums.

it's good forum etiquette.

as far as your question... it's good to have a car on the showroom floor that actually has the accessories installed for customers to see it.

just make one really good showoff car for display to let eveyone know what they can do with the car to help them sell. Then let ppl buy them stock and let them go wild later.

so all would agree that having a really nice xb and also going to do a tc.. would be great for people to come in and see and then that would help show the customer what can be done and would usually want a stock to build themelves.. correct.. ?? i still think that the two we build there would be someone who would buy them .. just cant keep doing that over and over right ? so have them for show and to promote all the parts and then let u guys come up with some more ideas and you all would buy the stock version ?? and the caps locks are gone .

Do one of each, trick it out with TRD parts. Take lots of pics to show after you sell it. It will help you sell parts, no doubt. Even the ones you build will be snapped up by folks that just want it done for them, it's just most folks here like doing it themselves.

the hardcore scion guys will do it themselves, the people who are new to scion or don't know much about cars, you need to show off what scion can do. Someone will buy them for sure!

when i worked at an Acura dealer thats what they had on the showroom cars. they had a lot of accessories to show what they look like on. most sold normally but the ones that were heavily accessorized stayed because once people look at the sticker they start thinking of other cars in the same price range.
think about it, would you want to buy a $26k xB.... probably not. at least i wouldnt.

ok but lets say i have a xb with full body kit and 19? trd wheels with a grill for lets say 22800.00 think that would be out of price range.. looking at putting the new razzi kit on it the wheels that are on the razzi one are on there now .. and then add a full billet grill and be done . along with the rear top spoiler ?? what u think ?

Wrong target group. Folks on this forum are more likely than not to do it themselves and go much more customized than dealer options to boot.

Those prices sound good.

I'm like many out there who's not to good with the tools and such. So would totally be interested in Dealer installed Optioned ride, only if price is right. The most important options I think what most Buyers want are Kits and Wheels and maybe Foglights. Those options seem to definitely add sportiness and value to xB. Like someone said if price is too much. It starts buyer looking at other Brands. I was just looking at new Subaru Impreza this weekend and notice I could get a slightly Optioned (it had blkout lens Frnt/Bck and Aftrmkt Wheels) base model for the same asking price of your xB or could pay a little more to get a WRX.

Reasonable Prices are the key words.

Default xb

well really im targeting the true scion xb crowd.. i know where the price will be but again this is going to be a show car for the dealership .. and if someone really likes it they can buy it .. if someone is looking at a wrx or rsx or mugen civic whatever then they arent really xb owners or crowd .. i wouldnt drive a xb thats just me i am a tc guy or lexus IS guy i like the coupe or sedan with performance .. not me for an xb but u have some die hard xb owners.. and i think it really appeals to them .. dont you ..

Build it, someone will buy it and in the meantime it helps you sell.
That said, I believe that most folks in here will not buy it and generally already know what they want before they even step foot in your dealership. Unless you make it very attractive in price, of course and they were already looking to do the mods you threw on it so effectively you just gave them a headstart.
The xB2 is attracting a whole lot more buyers than just the loyal xB crowd, some of those folks (no particular age group demographic really) will pay you to make it an easy, one stop shopping experience and the convenience of all things done prior to delivery. No taking the car to a few places to get things done and have the downtime, plus the peace of mind, warranty, etc.
You have to figure it out for viability for you, if you mark it as demo do you still pay showroom/floor costs and track it for days on lot etc? Only you can answer those questions, but it would be hard to put on paper the effects of having such a model, only that it's generally accepted that seeing something is very effective at convincing a person if they want to buy it, they can touch it, etc. No substitute for tactile ;)
