FIVE AXIS XB
yeh i will drive it for a bit as a show car for the dealership .. so lets say i drive it until jan and it has 2600 miles on it .. i will sell it as a used demo .. so will be about 2200.00 less or so .. than would be sticker.
bro there is no way in hell it will sell for 22 or 24, come on now. you know sales managment. please be serious. they would sell like hot cakes for that price. and of course sales managment will screw that up for you. good luck tho man. if it really works out for that price you going to be the happiest accessory manage in the country!
Here is my advice, as a Scion Manager/Champion....whose dealership sells a boat load of accessories each month.
I have two (2) dedicated demo models, a 2006 Scion tC and a xB2. You can find pictures to both at www.myspace.com/beavertonscion. We have extensive work done to both....$15K+ each. We use them to show off what can be done.
From time to time I do pre-load an xB2, tC with wheels (Factory replacements using stock tires) or something else that keeps the overall cost down. I will never pre-load vehicles with thousands of dollars worth of equipment. I do not pre-load xD models as they are more economy...especially with the price of gas increasing.
The whole premise behind Scion is individuality, allowing the customer to tailor the vehicle to their liking. What you are describing goes agaist the Scion process.
Any questions feel free to contact me.

when stepping foot into a scion dealership most customers already know about the customizing abilty of the scion brand the others usually arent interested .basically it really hurts the dealer to prelaod a vehicle ,if the customer wants options added they will usually ask for them .when i went to buy my 05 xb the dealer had a demo loaded with optional parts that almost doubled the cost of the vehicle ,it actually scared me out of having the dealer install anything extra on the car for fear that the price of the car would be out of my budget
over the summer when I was working directly with FIVEaxis, I had the task of calling over 100 dealers nation wide to inform them about the new kits that were being introduced, and to help them get the information out to the general consumers. From my research, and just basic knowledge, it seems as if the best way to do it is to setup pre-loaded cars in the showrooms, to display to the consumer what can be added into their purchases. (Generally through Financing, to ease it in). Naturally you'd want to hit every aspect of the vehicle, (Exterior, interior, Wheels/tires, possible audio, accessories, etc.) , I'd say your best bet would be to include things from the Optimize Program, and to put a catalog next to the vehicle to show the customer that its available. But having said this, i would say don't do numerous vehicles, just do ONE, to show what is available, Use this as the dealer's show car, because selling it in the future WILL BE DIFFICULT. Case in point, the Longo Toyota/Scion Orange and Black tC here in SoCal, from my understanding, they've been trying to sell it for a couple years, with no buyers at all. Don't get me wrong, its a nicely executed tC, but their asking price is a bit high for most new Scion Owners. Hope this helps, if not, then...at least i tried =P
