flooded.
well the subject can speak for itself.
my 08xb which i purchased on the 9th of may was flooded this past weekend.
i was just now able to collect some thoughts and post something.
i live in houston, tx and almost a week ago there was a nasty storm and some flash flood going on. and sadly enough i was tossed in the middle of it.
the waters got almost 3 ft. high. but oddly enough not much water made in inside. i suppose they made the new xb like a TANK.
insurance was cracking up over the phone...
less than 3000 miles...
the guy at the toyota dealership didnt believe me when i told him it was an 08...
the insurance guy came the other day and gave the okay to change, almost everything, out. now the only thing left is sitting around and waiting for the parts. since the 08 is so new, alot of the parts are on backorder.
ill be cruising along in my rental chevy aveo for sometime...
the WORST part is i spent the entire day before detailing my ride...

Actually, it sounds like the worst part is having to drive around an Aveo for an undetermined amount of time... 
I kid, I kid.
That sucks man. At least you're in the process of getting it straightened out again though.

the process is long, but at least the damage wasnt that bad at all.
i feel kinda blessed that things are working out so smoothly.

yeah I had a friend that was flooded in who lives on the south side of the beltway and I live 5 min south of him on 45 and we didn't get hardly any rain. It's so strange. He said they had jetskis out in the road. LOL

Maybe if enough people complain the xB3 will be amphibious. 
Sorry about your car, dude. At least they're replacing the interior instead of trying to "clean" it - my brother's Buick got flooded last summer and it's smelled like a swamp ever since.
BTW...um...you guys have HAD rain before, right?
I get flash-flooded every time there's a severe thunderstorm. Maybe you all just have better drainage.

Its been raining pretty much non stop for a month and a half in houston.
I'm sure I could count the days it has been sunny in the past two months on one hand.

GL !Most of my previous vehicals were leather, and the texas sun doesn't play nice with temperatures. Leather is not a much needed accessory for me.
Now maybe some trd springs or s.charger. ...

update :
the guy at the dealership said theyre still waiting for seatbelts and an airflow meter to come in.
something about the airflow meter not even being made yet for replacement parts.
could be another month...
eh. i love paying for something i cant touch or drive.
