flooded.
I'm really surprised that the insurance company didn't total it out and allow you to purchase a new one. I grew up in Chicago and we had a terrible few weeks of rain and my few month old Jeep Wrangler got flooded, not bad, but bad enough for about an inch or two of water on the floor.
The insurance company adjuster came out to the dealer and they had a whole line of brand new cars at the dealer that had the same deal as mine, a little bit of water in the car and they totaled out the whole row of them.
Why?? The insurance company told me that the liabilty for them was too great for them not to. Look at all of those electrical items on the floor, electricity, water corrision don't mix. What if your car shorts out and burns up and you get injured?
Screw that!! I would tell them I want a new one and state the above facts, on top of the fact your claim will cause your car to show up on Carfax as flood damaged, try to sell or trade that in a few years from now....
Take my advise and look into it, don't let the insurance company hose you.
