Default Frozones Audio install. (Need help new video)

edit 8/2
Need help.
So i was ready to dive in and replace my stock tweeters first. (picking amp up in an hour. But i need help!
THe stock tweeter has 4 wires and when disconnected the whole door and goes silent. So what do i do? i have infinity ref tweeters ready to go. and 6022i's already installed in the doors. So im already hit a wall.

I was going to put my amp under the rear seats. that i know how to remove so im ok there. And wiring it. im hoping the amp kit that comes with it has the RCA parts otherwise i might have to go out and buy a super long one. I'm very unsure on how to hook the 4 door speakers and two tweeters up. they are going to be going into the front channel on the prime 300-4. and the sub i can hook up to the rear thats easy.

So if you have done tweeter replacement and done all this. please post up and let me know what i need. i got 3 feet of 12 guage wire for the sub and i got another 3 feet incase i need it for the speakers

Older

OK so Im on to the next mod! If you are new here and don't know me yet YES i am the orginal DJ FroZone who DJ's and is the world beatbox competition in NYC this weekend. Foo yah.

So rims are set, tires are good, Tower bar is in. And unichip is on the way and the exhuast is set.

Im leaving the headers, and midpipe and suspension mods till later or unless if find them used for cheap on an off chance.

So next is building a sound system on a budget.

As of now i have a Pioneer p4100dvd which is dope. and Infinty Ref 6022i speakers in all the doors. time to make it pound

New list:
Rockford Prime 300-4 or Infinity 475a (im torn between the two but leaning rockford)

Rockford Fosgate RFK8i wiring kit -unless someone knows a better one

Infinity 1031T tweeters (looking for thread on how to install btw)

Rockford Fosgate P1L-110 -sub

And thats it.I plan to run all the doors and tweeters into the front channel and the sub on the rear. so i will get a nice hit and great clarity. Pics will be coming when i get the goods. I might have a shop install for me...because i've never done this wiring or grounding before and i want it done right. but im sure i can find a DIY (pyro??)

As for lighting this is gonna be hard. I want to put white LEDS on the ground simliar to the "streetglow" look but i want it complete not just for bars like a full halo type thing and maybe blue floodlights from ozinum in the wheel wells to accent the rims. Just not sure of the best way to go about that. I know streetglow themselves sell an LED kit of sorts that flashes and what not. but i am not sure of how relibalbe or if its worth the money.

oh and i want a new horn...suggestions? i want to do a train horn type thing but i cant spend 100+ on a horn lol i have no room for a compressor anyways.

I will have a new camera so videos will be plentiful and many butterknives!

Btw to help pay for this.....
I have a 2008 stereo and all the door speakers just sitting here!
and OEM intake for 2010 and 2008. (all the parts)
4 TPMS sensors for the xb and all the bolts.

PM if you want them!! PLEASE

Get all your stuff on ebay. I saved around 60-70% on my sound system setup going ebay. Just make sure its new or refurbished and get a warenty with everything everytime and you will save tons of money. Also I just used a basic wiring kit off ebay. Was like 30 bucks or something. Got a few splitters for the ground and power wires and your set. BTW great headunit choice

yea i love that HEadunit got it for cheap off of ebay. i have aanother question. I have an old ____ty box at home. with two polk audio GNX 12" 4 ohm subs. one might not work but the other is fine. if i went to bestbuy found a box for the one 12 and used that instead of buying that rockford sub. what you think good move or just sell it and buy the new one?

If the otehr one works, I would buy a box instead of buying a new sub. Altho if you are crafty at all with wood cutting make your own small box. You can pick up a full sheet of mdf 3/4 for 20-30 bucks. Its cheap. and thats much cheaper then buying a premade box. But either way you go def buy a separate box would be cheaper then a new sub and a box. Also I recommened getting a class D amp esp if you wanna hear your system to its full quality. If you want to spend extra money in any spot go Class D HIGHLY HIGHLY recommened it

thats the one im looking at getting for about 100. class D amp? idk what that means. and no im bad at wood cutting and no one around here has the tools for it. well i assume im not good at wood cutting.

Im taking the speakers down now and im going to compare them to that rockford running off the same amp. and of course im not buying anything from them. online all DAY

Class D is by far best kind of amp you can get. If you care of about sound quality then you want a class D amp for your subs. I have 2 pioneer shallow 12s that were getting ran by 2 ma audio amps. Both 800 watt max and bridged at 500 watt rms for both amps. I friend both amps they were old haha. So I upgraded to a alpine v-power amp which runs 500 watt rms mono block and it makes the sound soooo much clearer and pounds ten times harder. I would highly recommened a vpower amp from alpine over a normal amp. Class D is amazing

Also avod spending a bunch of money on a wiring kit that does the same thing as a cheap wiring kit is. Your noramlly paying for the name. I would get a cheap wiring kit and upgrade the fuse holder. I had to do with mine. I spent lik 30 bucks for wiring kit

yea i found that rockford one for 31. now for that prime amp. would i do the 8awg kit or the 4awg kit.. i was on ebay and i saw one that included the kit but it was a 4awg kit not an 8 like crutchfield reccomended. I may go class D later. but i want my sound now lol. and those polks were ok. So i'm going to sell them for about 50 all together. one works the other has a cone issue so it whamppfs. POLK GNX12" to the first buyer!!!

Im serious.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=260641495062 that wiring kit ok?

I am running a 4 guage wire with my setup. Granted I may have more wattage. Not sure your exact wattage didn't look. But I would go with a the 4 guage if you ever decide to get more power in the long run anyway as well

Sorry bro, I'm not the audio guy. I've never done audio myself, except to find that I blew my front left speaker and have been meaning to get it replaced, except I've been spending my money towards a header and other upgrades. lol

As for the lights in your wheel wells, are you going to be doing something like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=_VWc...eature=related

Pardon the flamethrower exhaust, but that's up to you. I'm not a big fan of LED's in the wheel wells.

Ever since I saw the flamethrower, I instantly recalled Michael Keaton's Batmobile. Could you imagine rolling in a turbo box, and when you gun it, fire shoots out of your exhaust??

What I'm actually going to invest in (and I'm not 100% sure I'll integrate it with my xB) is a high-powered laser:

First off, lasers are awesome! I want one so I can play with it and burn stuff.

Then I jokingly thought about wiring it with the xB so that I could teach people who cut me off a lesson. lol

You're reusing stock wires?

Run new wires to everything. Problem solved.
