Default Goodbye

My wife and I went car shopping today and I traded my '08 XB for an '06 Tacoma Xrunner. Since we no longer have a Scion in the family I will probably not come back here much if at all. I'll also obviously be dropping my moderator status.

I'd like to thank everyone who posted great information that helped me since I bought my first XB in '04. I've met some great people on here and I'll really miss the fellowship.

well...don't let the door hit you on the way out!

jk, x-runner's are nice, might as well have that over an xb if you don't have a kid in the family! get the trd supercharger for that, plus some tuning and you have 400 whp!

I'm not far behind you. If all goes as planned, I will be trading my xB2 in next Saturday. I'm getting a new Toyota FJ Cruiser.

I already sold a bunch of the parts off of my xB2 in preparation for the trade.

I currently have five vehicles -all tagged and insured, and have decided to downsize my collection. The FJ is going to give me the cargo space (and weird looks) of my xB2 and the 4x4 and fuctionality of my Toyota truck. I will be trading the xB in and selling my truck outright.

Good luck with your new 'Yota. Can't go wrong with them.

Dan.

Enjoy your Tacoma. I just gave my beloved xB to my stepdaughter and got a new Lexus IS. It's a great car but I'm going to miss my box.

Well, my trade deal happened a bit faster than I expected. Traded the xB in yesterday. It's going to be missed though - I really liked that car. It was tough driving away and seeing it sit there.

Here is the replacement.

'08 FJ Cruiser
6-speed manual
locking rear diff
roof rack
brush guard
rock rails
skid plate
tow package
and some other odds and ends.

So far I really like it.

Good eyes - yes it is - hence where my screen name comes from. I've owned it since 1999. Not to completely jack this thread more then I already have, but here is a quick pic of it.

Thanks for the link!!!! I thought the Scion family was crazy with mods. The X-runner guys are just as bad. My wife is going to kill me.

I got $15,000 for my xB with the following:

13,592 miles
Scion Navigation
TRD 19s
Rear spoiler
Carpeted floor/cargo mats
C-pillar storage nets
Cargo net

Everything else I had on it, that I could take off without leaving big holes, I took off and sold outright before making the deal. I purchased the xB in July 2007 and paid cash for all the extra accessories I got. I obviously lost money, but feel I got a fair trade price.

Hope that helps some.

Dan

I still have the xB factory steel wheels, tires, and hubcaps that I'm gonna have to sell or something.

Only two days in, but so far I really like it.

You should post up some pics of your X-runner. What color is it?

It's Speedway Blue. The previous owner put billet grills and a K&N intake on it.
I haven't taken pics yet but the dealer had it posted on Ebay so I'll borrow their pic.

hey guys, im the one that owned the Xrunner before my xB and now im driving a Nissan Titan..

www.xr-underground.com is the most tightly knit group of guys on the internet and i promise that.

They arent a car club or anything and even being in a scion club, i didnt feel anywhere near the welcome that i have felt on that site.. We had a meet in Havasu in may of 08 and about 40 guys showed up all the way from Northern cali to New mexico.. Talk about dedication!

Have fun with your Xrunner and shoot me a PM on there if you need anything. Im a vendor under High Velocity Motorsports and my username is 07SWB.. Happy modding!
