has anyone figured out how to make the remote start stay on?
the stupid remote start shuts off when you unlock or put the key in, or open the door... has anyone figured out how to disable these annoyances yet? i just want to remote start it and hop in turn the key and go!
Who makes your remote?
I have Auto-Mate AM6 and I use the fob to unlock my door. Doing this has never shut the car down. (unless you tap the brake, open the hood, timer has elapsed, or double pressing the auto/start twice again) I don't see anything about opening the door with the key unless you use the dummy key that does not have a fob built in.
Seeing the dealer is the best sugestion.
I am going to play with mine tomorrow and see if I can duplicate what you say happens. Hope all works out

generally with factory equipment you don't have too many programming options.. i could be wrong since scion likes to be different and all lol. the viper alarms we install at work with remote start can be configured for 15,30,60 min. timeouts or something like that. if you're using the factory key fob to start, then it's the toyota equipment, aftermarket doesn't play nicely with factory ;)
