Default Help with two mods that might be a first

As we most know the trunk light blows. I want to take one of those led bars from oznium and cut a hole in the headlining and conect it to the dome light power. is this possible and how would i get to it.

2nd. I don't have the dough to add new seats to the box. but i like the racing seat belt style

a few pics down.

I saw a local car with stock seats but that type of harness for the belts. how can i do that to the scion without messing up that seatbelt sensor?? help?

thanks

well for the seatbelts, You're gonna need a harness bar to make them safe. Really kind of pointless without the seats.

and as for the rear light, if you just want a brighter light, you can fit an LED in the housing. much brighter.

Get a light that works for 12VDC and then wire one side up to power and the other up to ground! If you want it to come on with the dome light just tap into it. If you want an on off switch wire that in before the light.

so you know of a thread that has that all layed out? Im thinking of having it come on only when the trunk is opened.

Use one of those. im just hesistant into tearing into the fabric upthere. and not knowing where the wires run.

oznium has some similar ones that i've seen installed in the headliner that might work well.
