Default How far have you gone on 1 tank of gas?

So far, I am at 350 and have less than 1/8 of a tank.
I have gotten the tank down to the line above the "E" and filled up and it took almost 12 gallons which leads me to beleive that there is not a lot of reserve in the tank past that line. Has anyone pushed it to see how far below the line you can go?

Default Tank of Gas

I have driven it a couple of miles past when it said I had ZERO miles left to the tank.

And I have gotten pretty close to your mileage driving 72+ MPH the whole way from Chesapeake/Norfolk, VA to almost Altoona, PA. I make this trip weekly now & get 30.2 miles per gallon AVG according to the Digital Display?!

On a trip this past summer, I got 382 miles on a tank and probably could have gone a bit futher. The gas light had come on at about 375 miles. It took 13.7 gallons to fill it.

This was on TRD 19s, a basically brand new car, and running 70+ mph - almost all highway.

Wow! My gas light comes on when I have 2.5 gallons left (i.e. 11.5 gallons used) So you had about 13.45 gallons used when you reached 375 miles at the time the gas light came on. Most owners have reported that their range = 0 miles when they have 3 gallons left and that the light comes on at about 2.5 gals left.

Nice to see so many owners are getting the 30+ mpg when travelling in the high 60s to 70mph range.

I did a road trip from la to vegas, did about 75-80 the whole way some parts i used cruise control, but i got about the same MPgs. I've had my car for about a month with about 3000 miles on it. maybe im driving it too hard?? im soo sad i dont get the mpgs u guys get

Driving 75-80 will make big difference not to mention the much higher likelihood of getting a ticket.

You need to find a comfort zone for you that works both to get better gas mileage & still have fun driving it. IF you want to learn how to drive & average 30+ mpg, you can.

On the Digital Dash Display, If you push the button next to the trip odometer, you will see that the clock will change over to the MGP AVERAGE, MGP Real time etc. Hold the button in for a few seconds when you are in the AVG display to reset it to Zero. Then Just pay attention to the real MPG reading for about a week. Try to keep the Real time numbers down as much as you can. Then after the week is up, look at the AVG display to see how you did. I think you will increase your MPG over time by repeating this.

But the bottom line is, drive slower = better MPG.

Yea, i think your right. But man, i drive 60 miles round trip for work alone , 5 days a week. and id say 50 miles of it is highway. Living in LA, i cant help my self but to drive that fast. I know its probly not the norm out there in VA to drive 75+ on the freeway, but out here in LA its almost like average speed. Ive driving on the freeway in LA and had highway patrol/local metro, pass me while i was going 75 , and thier rollers/ sirens werent on. But yea, ill defenitly give it a try this weekend when i drive to vegas. Ill try to keep it under 70
