Default i think i fawked my 2 day old scion.....

i accidently went over the curb(brick) that's placed front of the parking lot. when i reversed, i heard something rip under the car. i went outside and looked undereath the car to find out, a plastic panel on passenger-side below front bumper is hang loose. it looks like a plastic tap came off, but i also see a cut... i wonder if i plastic piece ripped off??? anyone have service manual or picture of the part under the car so i know i didn't rip off the panel...

Doesn't sound like its his splash guard, sounds more like the inside plastic of the wheel well. That happened to my xD actually. I didn't realize I was so close to a curb while fighting with my ex and hopped the curb and tore the plastic completely off! It was oh.. $110 for the parts and then I think another $100 or so for the dealer to put it on.

try this...
take a picture of the other side (non damaged) and flip the photo inside out in your photo shop and it will look like the side that is damaged

08xB714, can you get us a pic of the damaged part, so we can see exactly what it is? Once we know what is damaged, we can tell you how to fix it properly.. Do you have a free photobucket account so you can post pics? if not, sign up for one, and host all your pics there - you can copy the img code right from there, and paste into your posts..

no big deal that it's ripped.. is it missiong a mounting push in fastner, or did it pop off the fastner to the right of the rip?
if it poped off the push in fastner, just get a small bladed screw driver under the inner groove and pop it out of it's seat, remove the fastner and seat, then just line everything up and put the seat and fastner in..
if there is supposed to be another fastner (looks like there may be a hole in the metal there) just go to the "fastner" section of you local home improvement store, and get a new fastner for like a buck.. or go to the dealer and get one for a few bucks..
it looks to me like it just needs to be straightened out and re-attached is all..
did you look at the other side to see how it's connected there? it's a real easy fix.

so it's ripped??? it's ripped pretty clean, i can't tell if normal for that plastic to bend or it's due to the cut...

anyways, anybody know where i can get xb service manual at a discounted price?

even if it's ripped it aint that bad.. push the bend a little bit, it will pop back into form, you can always get some black duct tape and put a strip over the rip, but to me it doesn;t look ripped, it just looks like the fastner popped off and the end is hanging.. you just have to wait till it's dry outside, and get under it and look at it, see how the other side is fastned, etc...
i am sure if you scour the internet, you could find an exploading diagram of how those peices are all connected
