Well get this today i am going down the interstate after i picked my girl up from work and there is a truck getting on and there are like 4 or 5 kids in the back ( Legal is Fl) and all of a sudden i hear a thud on the passenger side of my ride. So i am like did those little ____s just throw something at the car and my girl was like i don't think so well when i get off i stop and look and yup the little ____er threw a dirt rock at the side of the car cuz there was still dirt there. I know it was not there before because i had just washed and waxed it. Some people man i wanna catch all them little bastards and have them watch me kick the crap out of their dad.

i would have a nervous breakdown im a nut about my car (i know im not alone) it gets a car wash every sat. a nxt wax every month and if theres any blemish it gets quick detailer spray. On the positive side at least it was only a dirt ball, but whos to say next time it could be a rock, bottle, soda can ect. Do you feel that they did it based on the fact you drive a xb??

They did it for the fact that they are kids because I did something like that before when I was a kid, except I was on the roof of my house throwing dirt clunks at a neighbor's laundry hanging out to dry.

When I was a little kid, a friend threw a big chunk of dirt at a car going by. I was in a state of shock and froze, would never dream of doing such a thing, but the car slammed to a stop and my friend ran. When the driver came up to me and asked who threw it, I told him! He went to the kid's house and neither he nor his Mom were too kindly to me after that.

That's the first incidence of vandalism I remember, and it's something I've never been able to accept. It's a shame it happened to you, but at the same time, it's appropriate you finally had the opportunity to be at the receiving end. Just because you're a kid, doesn't mean you have the right to do what ever crosses your mind, it's too bad parents don't take the behavior of their progeny much more seriously than they seem to. Still, it's the world we created, right?

To that extent it's more difficult for a child to accept responsibilities for actions rather than one who has a higher matured mentality.

In terms of these teenagers and 30 year olds who still think they're in their 20's and try to show off their p.o.s. riced out car... I would naturally assume that with age comes the wisdom necessary to be a responsible adult, but then again, I've known some stupid older people. But then again, I was forced to grow up at an earlier age.

To get back on topic with this kid who threw the clump, he's a little punk. Forget about it. Thankfully it was not damaging to your car. I'm surprised the paint wasn't completely scratched off, considering how much detail went into our xB paint jobs from the factory.

Well it turns out it was not a dirt chunk and it took some paint all the way to the metal and left a scratch probably about an inch long. It just makes me so mad that i got the car in April and in June some ___ hit the rear quarter panel right by the rear door with his door when i was not around and then this. I baby my car like nothing always washing it and waxing it making sure it looks good and then some stupid person can just ruin it all in 1 sec because they do not care. Then on top of that i come home the other day to find some dude leaning on my Jetta like it was his i asked him nicely to not lean on my car. He got off then went in the office to say something to them and he didn't know he was talking to my fiance's mom. She put him straight LMAO.

What do you think about the paint job on your car? Have you had your xB for a while? I've had mine for under a year and already there's scratches everywhere. Granted, I have rock chips on the front bumper due to highway driving, but scratches out the wazoo everywhere else. Makes me want to get body side molding for the doors or a bra that wraps around the entire car.

When I bought the car day one, I thought that the car shined extremely well. However having owned the car for a month and a half, I am noticing some scratches (maybe from small rocks due to highway driving). I think Toyota/Scion could have done a better job with the paint job.

This is why I get to wherever I wanna go early enough to find remote parking spots. The other situations you had were unavoidable. Sorry about all that on a young car, I guess that where the phrase kicks in, "shxt happens".

Its beyond the scratch x i think i am going to try to get the touch up paint or maybe try a sharpie because it is a BSP the black will at least make it not as noticeable.

First off, toyota must have used the cheapest paint/clear coat options available to paint these cars. Im scared to think of what it may look like in ten years, i can invision and early 90's GM car with orange peel all over it with nothing but rust on the roof left. I do beleive they must get a good deal of complaints about it tho. I noticed that on the scion accessory guide online about a month or two ago they added "paint protection film". MSRP's for over 200 bucks and i dont know whats included in it, if its just a roll or if its pre-cut im not sure
Shea, stick with touch up paint its cheap and it has clear coat mixed it to prevent rust, just make sure you clean the scratch with rubbing alcohol first.

Well my luck keeps getting worse yesterday my fiance was driving down a 6 lane road 3 lanes going north and 3 south with a turn lane in the middle. She was in the lane closest to the turn lane and some ____hat decieded he wanted to be in that lane to and started to move over she laid on the horn but he just kept coming and hit the front right quarter panel. I just bought the car in April and already it goes to the body shop because of some jack___. He got cited for improper lane change and his insurance is going to pay for it all but just the fact of my new car going to the shop already ____es me off. I was driving our other car in front of her when this took place when i got out of the car my fiance said all she could think was please do not hit this guy.

Wow, doesn't that just suck hardcore nuts. Man I'm sorry this happened to you and your wife, and I'm glad you kept your cool. Although it's not my car, it ____es me off too. Losers like that guy don't deserve to be drivers. I'm glad your wife suffered no injuries (I hope), but sorry that your car is in the shop. Good things the xB is safe .

its funny how all the ricers on the road know that a box is one of the slowest things on the road, so whenever one sees me just cruising the beach or just driving around they get beside me, rev the crap out of their car and haul butt down the road.

i just laugh and keep my foot resting on the throttle going the speed limit, i dont have to race them to know their car is faster than mine, its really funny when i pass them a mile or so down the road getting a ticket :-p

Well not all boxes are slow, there are turbo kits/superchargers to increase performance. Don't forget the xB has a lot in common with the tC. Just that most people choose not to add aftermarket performance to their xB.

damn dude that really is shty. i gota give you credit for keeping your cool, i dont know what i would have done in that situation. When i was 19 i rear-ended a woman on my way back home for lunch. it wasn't completly my fault the car infront of her had popped a u turn out of no where and forced her to jump on the brakes and i had no time to react, so SMASH right square in the back of her. I started freaking out curseing/punching the trunk ect. ( i know i was being an idiot) i felt bad afterwards she thought i blamed her for the crash when i was truley ready to kill the guy who made the u-turn. i wish to this day i had just kept my cool.
