Why is Scionlife a constant drama fest? Lame

Drive the ____ out of your Scion, pay it down and get a gen 2 Cube when they come out.

As far as the cube I would roll in this, but the crap they sent over here I'd pass.

I would not even consider the kia.

Just1n's full of WIN!!! I agree. I'm doing the same, but with a Lexus. Maybe the 04-06 LS430's will go down a bit more within the next 3 years...

I've driven a Cube and wow you did mess up, j/k. Hey what I would do is pay down ur xB2 a much as you can and wait til the Cube has been out for a year or two (never buy a first year car, weather its been out in japan on not). And then trade up and get what you want. Or crash ur scion and hope you dont die, use the insur $ to get what u want lol. Good luck, cubes rock btw!

I know that. It's very reminiscent of the xB1 though.

The only car I would leave my xb for right now is the 2010 mazda 3 hatchback, I test drove it today & it drives like butta, it fills all the gaps the xb left( Tranny firmer, nimble handling, & off course the 6speed.) I would also consider the next gen vw gti once it comes out. I also went to nissan & checked the cube out(I was car shopping for my girl who's car just got totaled) I liked it, pretty trendy looking interior, seems of good quality, roomier than I thought, good price, but as soon as my girl & her sister described it as cute, I was over it I am still way in love with my toaster, & is the best car in it's price range IMO.

That's hilarious. That's the same thing my girl said about the Cube when I showed her pics on Edmunds. Then after I bought my box, I showed her the pics again of the Cube and she said it was ugly. Girls don't know what they want. lol

^^ Didn't know that. The first popular box car I've seen was the xB, so I assumed it was first and Nissan rolled out their own version. Good to know.

Ive been there too, long story short now I am a honda insight owner.

I bought a bad ___ 4wd truck that lacked performance despite being nodded. I was going to car pool in what little snow we got, instead I ended up driving myself to the hospital and dentist, then my parents to the hospital that week and missed work. Unpiaid time off as I already burned up my sick leave from pnumonia a month earlier.

Id traded my xa that was almost paid for and modded for an automatic like a carolla, yaris or prius. I ended up with an xb2. Way more room, fun to drive and still got 30mpg. I had bidded on the truck in an estate sale and wouldnt you know it, I WON 2 weeks after my trade. I wouldnt of traded my xa if I knew I had a chance in hell to win the truck that was an automatic.

Long story short I put about 12 thousand miles on the truck 7800 on the xb and although I almost wrecked the truck 5 times, I did the xb. It never drove right after that and the truck was running 230 a month in gas. I needed more money as my job cut 400 a month and toy was unable to refi.

After another failed attempt to trade up 2 for 1 for a prius, I went tothe honda dealer next door. Long story short I got 3 gs from my job for buying a hybrid, 1.8 from the old extended warranty, 215 from insurance company, trade for the paid truck and money back from the xb.

Nothing like getting 50+ mpg, cash back and lower monthly payments.

@cobb: Great deal there. I fancy those Honda Insights. They look like great cars, but if I was going to go with Honda, I'd probably get a Fit instead. I just don't like the crash scores on the Fit.

Wonder why the thread poster hasn't replied since the first several days?

I would simply like to add my 2 cent...how could you not love the xb2? I finally got to drive my long distance--1800 miles in 36 hrs. It was great. I never got to uncomfortable and I even able to get some sleep in the front seat. I love driving this car.

My friends are always amazed by how much room there is when they get in. The gas mileage is decent for the available horsepower. I would much rather have the power to get out of jams then to be rocking in my seat while I am trying to pass a slow driver while going up hill.

Hatin' on your xb2? Blasphemy!!

"Venting" in a fan site forum? What are you thinking? Use your Facebook page for that, then your friends can send you rounds of adult beverages. Sounds like someone just wanted attention.

I own a 1990 Eclipse GSX and a 2008 xB. The Eclipse is currently getting around 26mpg on Plus gas, and the xB2 is getting almost as much on regular gas. I love to drive the Eclipse, but I also love the capacity of the xB2.

I'm not too excited about the Soul, but I think the Cube is definitely a nifty vehicle. However, the xB2 is so stinking practical, it's amazing ! I'd like the xB2 to have better gas mileage (a 1.8L engine would probably have worked for me), but I guess I'll survive (the xD doesn't provide the cargo space)!

I'd say there's always another car offering that will be attractive, but we all make our choices and then we just have to live with them until we decide to make another change. That's cool !
