Default New guy with first Xb

I just bought this yesterday with 21k Miles. It is an 08 and I have some subtle plans.

Copied and pasted from another forum.
Primary purpose: Look clean, sharp, and to be reliable. I don't need a fast or fancy car right now. I need something that I like and that can get me to work without having to worry.

Parts ordered/here:
18x8.5 XXR 962's - Gold
SouthRnFresh 80's decal
Simply Clean plate holder

Plans:
Junction Produce Curtains - Front and rear windows
Lip Kit
CF spoiler (duck bill style)
Injen CAI
Cat back (Brand undecided)
Ksport Coilovers (I dont want to use just springs)
JL Audio Stealth Box
Yakima Roof rack (Looking to buy a nice bike in the spring. Suggestions on a nice mountain bike under 1k?)
JP Fusa
Double Din Head unit (Pioneer or Alpine)
Billet grill - Anodized to gold
Rumion badges.

I think you just contradicted yourself with those mods listed right there. lol

Lose the curtains. You're not going for a mafia theme, so that's unnecessary and would be a total waste of money. Instead, invest in darker tint to make your xB pop.

How did I contradict?

I am not a fan of tinted windows. All 14 of my past builds were tinted and it got old after a while. I dont want the Xb to "pop". I want something i can appreciate.

This is my first build that wont ever be driven hard. Something to get me by while my e30 gets built for drift and autox.

Not too hot on the curtains. They can get looking old/dated fast. If you want to keep the sun out, go for the clear nanotech films; they do a good job of keeping the car cooler without the tinted look. I had the tint company put clear IR/UV blocking film on the rears and tint to match on the fronts.

As for a good mountain bike, I like the Kona's. Be prepared for a long lift for that bike on the Yakima racks, that car is tall!

I have sunglasses for that. Curtains would be mainly for look or if i am with a lady. Lol. I want to take a different rout on this car that i have with my last 14. Something different is a nice change of pace.

I only meant that you contradicted because your words were clean and reliable. I'm just not a big fan of those curtains. It'll create a VIP effect, and that's not clean. That pops. lol

And as for tint, I don't mean limo or whatever. A good 20-30% tint job would suffice.

Nice buy. I bought a 2008 xB not too long ago and I'm loving it so far.
I have a Specialized mountain bike and been pretty happy with it. If you can stretch a bit or find a good deal, check out the Transition Dirtbag. That's a pretty sweet bike as well.

I am still looking at bikes.

I don't like tint on white cars. The contrast is to great and it doesnt appeal to me. Same with white with black wheels. I know a lot of people like it but its just not me. But that Xb gives me a GOOD idea of what mine will look like.
