Hi, new to the forum and new to my '08 RS 5.0

I just learned about the RS last Tuesday, found out on Wednesday that my local dealer had one, and bought it Wednesday night. I had been researching the xB on Edmunds.com, and they listed the RS Option Package, which I had never heard of. When I saw it in person, I fell in love with Gold Rush Mica, the color tuned upholstery, and the moonroof. Mine is an automatic, and its #211/2500.

I just picked it up this afternoon, after I took it in for the mods I purchased from the dealer. I went with the rear spoiler, rear bumper overlay, Speed Star shift ****, and a set of 17 x 7 Motegi Racing DV 5 wheels with 215/45/17 Hankook Ventus V4ES tires. I'm very happy with all the changes. Here's a few pix:

Default Ordered my RS5 today

The dealership already had it, but I've asked for some mods to be done to it. So I won't be able to get it for a couple weeks. Anyway, I'm getting #1282.

I've got on order a set of these 18s with Sumitomo series 40 HTR ZIII: http://www.thewheelconnection.com/ph...&brandsearch=1

I'm also adding leather seats with color matched "gold rush" stitching. That's what is taking the most time.

In addition, I've added fogs and spoiler.

Default RS5.0 #1753 reporting for duty, sir!

Hey everyone! Just brought home last night RS5.0 #1753 from Scion of McKinney. The salesman that I was with the other day pointed it out to me and said 'yeah, that's the new color over there" and that was that. I guess he wasn't impressed. I had originally planned on an xD but the Texas Air Check rebate wouldn't cover it, so we decided on an xB. It was only then I discovered what that gold one was - the Release Series 5.0, and I had to have it!

The dealer promised me a spoiler, and I found a guy on Craigslist who wants to swap out his 17" aftermarket wheels on his Corolla for some factory stock. (Keeping my RS5 hubcaps).

Sorry for the crappy camera phone pic - will get some better ones after the installs are done.

And no, it's not going to be towing the camper. By the way, anyone have some factory 16" wheel covers they'd like to let go for cheap?

Thanks!

John

Thanks! I think I'm done showing for this year. I need to spend money on doing stuff to the car, so I'll probably start again next year.
