Default Ok, how do you access the fuses?

I know they are behind here. I can sort of see it when looking underneath. But I have neck and back issues from when my last Scion was murdered. Does this panel come off? I don't want to break anything. But I need to put some stuff on a 12 volt switched and non-switched circuit like I did my old Scion. I've been searching everywhere online trying to figure out an easy way to get to them. Thanks!

Figures. A video I have been trying to get working for weeks starts playing for me. Now I know how and where. Darn, those are some tiny fuses. My old add a circuits from my 06 XB are too big. Need smaller ones I see. Thanks anyways. Here is that video that would never play the 2nd part for me before.

I needed some add-on wiring and studied the schematics to determine where to connect. Of course, part of that process is identifying which ignition switch position you need. I didn't find the fuse box a very friendly place to connect, though I guess there's always the possibility of twinning an existing fuse. I ended up making hard wire mods with fuses added as needed (trailer hitch harness and sub), but they function the way I wanted and I'm certain of appropriate current capacity. Good luck !

You have to get up under the dash behind the hood release. Theres a cover with a white sticker giving you all the fuse circuits or whatever.

If you remove the panel you posted the pic of all you get is the wire harnesses and connectors n ****

Oh yeah, there's also rust on the braces to which I installed the glove box illumination. All that metal appears unprotected to me and so surface rust due to moisture in the air is almost inevitable.

ill go grab some pics of my set up. but i ran hotwire straight from my battery through the firewall grommet on the driverside. then hooked into a seperate 6 channel fuse box. i then send them to on and off switches in the dash and then to anything that needs power. works pretty good and i like where i mounted mine. works well and easy to access.
