Ok i've had my xb since they were realased and this problem has never gone away. my rear wiper is crap. no matter how manytimes i replace the blade. it refuese to clean the bottom half and smears the top. upon looking at the apparatus. it seems as if the blade is too curved for the window. it contacts at some spots but not at others. Dealership has no idea how to fix this they jsut say oo its cause its cold. and it has to loosen up. I say nay. has anyone else had this problem???

No problem here, then again, I have a coat of rain x too. I wished it had an intermittened feature myself.

 

my solution was to remove the wiper itself and plug it up....and rain X just like cobb said

i dont get how taking off the rear wiper and applying rain x would work better than an actually wiper. i dont have a spoiler so theres nothing to protect it from the rain.

 

The rear wiper is a joke. It wipes +/-25% of the glass. Just remove it

 

I'm with everyone else on this... I don't use my rear wiper because it scratches the glass. It's still there and it essentially collects snow. I was going to pick up the plug, but I got something else in the works.

Have you ever used Rain-X? If not, use it. Best thing ever. it'll help the snow, water, ice, whatever not stick.

 

aight i dont think i will remoce it. but i will treat it with rain -x .it really snows n rains here upstate so 25% is better than nothin i'll say.

 

Oh yeah. It's been snowing quite a bit here, too. I haven't Rainx'd mine in a while. I think it's due time.

Also, when I get fuel, I always give the back window a good wipe down.

 

do u have problems with the salt build up. like once the snow is gone but the salt is still there. thats alyways my issue. and i think i'll do their promotion for rain x wipers too. that lattitude or w/e cost about as much as our normal blades anyways. its good to know i can do something my back wiper has always ____ed me off. any bad weather and i cant see ____.

 

I just wipe it down at the gas station. Use the squeegee they have and the washer fluid. Get all that salt off.

It does, but it's tough to get the smell off your hands afterwards. And what girl wants to hang out with a guy that smells like fuel?
