Default Replacing rear wiper? How to?

I was just cleaning my windows and tried to see if I could remove the rear wiper, in case I had to replace it come spring (if I need to).

I can remove the front ones without any problem, but I don't know how to remove the back one? Anybody know how? haha

It seems to be totally different from the front, and also, where could I buy the wipers that are stock with xB online? Or do I have to get them at the dealership?

Thanks for the help!

These are the instructions for how to remove the rubber from the rear wiper :

(a) Open the rear wiper arm head cap.

(b) Raise the wiper blade to the position where the claw detaches with a ''click'' sound

Pull the wiper blade straight toward the left side of the vehicle to remove it from the wiper arm.

Lift and pull the end of the wiper rubber protruding from the blade stopper

(Do not forcibly pull out the wiper rubber. The backing plates will be deformed or the blade claws will be damaged.)

Hope that helps

Ahhh perfect man! Just tried it out and worked like a charm. Thank you SO much.

Now another question.. Obviously the front blades are universal and can be bought everywhere, but how about the rear wiper, since it has a different assembly? Or are they "specialty" wipers and need to be bought elsewhere?

Thanks for all the help guys!

If you just remove the rubber, go to the auto parts store and look for wiper "refills". Get one, cut it to length, and reassemble. That should work, assuming Toyota uses the standard wiper rubber design.

I always got my refil from toyota for the back wiper on my 06 for like $7. The refils work, but they're crap and would streak right in my experience with them.
