Hey there hows it going, i'm a new member of the forum from just north of the border. I'm looking to get a 2008 RS 5.0 and the scion dealer in grand island told me that canadians cannot purchase them however i have seen several 08 xb's driving around niagara and toronto. They then recommend contacting Toyota canada. After speaking with the owner of the local dealership who was extremely interested in getting some scions for his lot he told me that it was impossible for even him a freaking toyota deal to get the vehicles. However i wasn't satisfied and did some research

Now the RIV says that if the vehicle is manufactured after september 2007 its admissible, so would the RS 5.0 be manufactured after that date as it was released in february of 2008?

If anyone knows the answer it would be a great help as my closest scion dealer has one on their lot and with the proper paper work i know i could persuade them to sell it to me. Also does anyone know of a scion dealer that has an RS 5.0 in manual as the one there is auto and i found the manual scions to drive a little nicer distance to travel isn't a huge deal but preferable if its relatively close to the ontario border.

the RS5 was made from Feb -> April from what I understand.
Manuals are rare.
