I'm pretty excited about this topic. Been following since the initial post but there has been nothing but dead end post.

Could this be a TRD 7.0? The center exhaust has got to be accompanied by a high flow muffler with a throatier exhaust.

Any speculations on what color this may be? The 7.0 may be TRD, lowered, with ground effects. May come with TRD wheels?

I hope they throw in an off the wall color. This would put to rest the rumors of the shying away to cut corners and cost. A nice head turning paint job and the TRD bits would make for a pretty cool RS. I think this would be a great way to go out before next years freshening.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they used the TRD theme like they did in the RS 5.0 tC.

Not too much has been said about the next RS but there is a meeting today in Torrance for Scion Dealer GM's. MAYBE
there will be some info there about it and the new iQ which has some accessories now listed on the dealer website.

if i hadnt invested so much effen money on my RS5 I would be super excited about a RS7 coming out. as far as the debate on the exhaust goes . . . with our engines its really all about looks. unless your running a full turbo kit or a fully built motor, trans, etc, it makes no real difference other than LOOKS and a couple of horses

I haven't really looked into this color code, but I'm thinking this is going to be the purple color just like the VW R32. And with the center exhaust it's gonna look like a boxy VW R32. Lol

But anyways its about time Scion got the RS thing back in gear. This sounds like a sweet xB2.
Not sure about Purple but at least its different and not ______white, grey, or black like the last 3 RS tC's.

This sounds SWEET. I can't wait to see it. The purple color will be awesome. I'm sure the body kit will add considerably to the price. I'm guessing it will have some kind of silver hubcaps with a Release Series logo (no alloy wheels - pick your own, as usual). I wonder about what kind of radio/sound system it will have.

I'm also curious about the price. I know many here have slammed the RS6.0 for the lack of a body kit and other major enhancements, but one of the best things about it was the price - that allowed me to afford to buy it and add all my own, unique cool stuff (my Five Axis kit should be installed by the end of the 4-day weekend). Cash for Clunkers also helped. The $3750 rebate brought the price of my car to under $16K and has paid for all the mods/enhancements I've added to it.

In the end, I think it's actually quite a bit less expensive to add your own enhancements rather than have them included in the RS price. I've saved over 25% off the dealer prices on all the TRD parts I've bought (front strut brace, fog lights, CAI, etc.) - and saved even more by installing them myself. The Five Axis lip kit has come down a lot in price since it was originally announced. So, I paid a lot less for mine than if it had come on the car.

I know many buyers prefer a ready-to-role Release Series package with a lot of enhancements, but I personally like the way Scion is changing up the 2nd gen xB Release Series models. No two have the same enhancements. Some have a lot, some (like the RS6.0) have a little. This lets everyone choose one that's right for them - and add whatever mods they please to make the car their own.

As much as I love my red box, that purple color is going to look amazing. I can't wait to see it.

pretty cool looking color, just not a fan of the front bumper. needs some rims or something maybe to make the front bumper look better.

 

i dont yet, but if its like the front and sideskirts then it looks like the xD rear too

 

 

I've been saying they needed to do a purple one for a while... shame they're recycling the body kit from the RS1 xD.
