At least they're finally offering some performance options like the tC's RS 5.0. Even if it's just TRD springs (I don't count the exhaust as "performance").

I think I'd rather save for the FT-86.

gjpjr84 gets the "Spy of the Year Award" good info !

I like it ALL !! Purple could be a tint or two darker.....
The exhaust is wicked, the rear has a very mean look about it ! (with rear spoiler)
Interior should been done like the RS.5, but that'll happen by it's owners. All in all it's a big improvement over the RS.6 IMO. Me Likee

Default Scion Unveils Release Series 7.0

Reading through autoblog this morning and lookie what I found

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/01/s...l-debut-in-la/

Everyone was right in their speculations.. Mursaki (Purple) exterior, and a Center Exit Exhaust, which in my opinion doesn't look half bad!

This wasn't anything at all special compared to what I have gotten before, lol. Its way later then when i normally come by things. And the new stock color of the xD is a shade or 2 darker purple then this xB2 RS color. the rs7 code is like 9AD and the purple on the xD is 9AH

seats are nice, exhaust is nice, kit is pretty cool, toyota needs to throw rims on RS xB's. like 2 out of 7 RS xB's came with rims...I like the purple paint but they definitely could have gone a couple of shades darker, the purple that is on that R32 is pure sex.

The only thing I like about any Release Series are their color-tuned cloth interiors. But my cloth interior is already color-tuned; I've got a BSP.

In terms of exterior appearance, the RS7.0 with the body kit, TRD lowering springs and center exit exhaust definitely beats the RS6.0 by a long shot. It will be interesting to see how much this package costs compared to the RS6.0. I'm taking care of all of those deficencies on my RS6.0. I dropped mine on Tanabe NF210s ($220 - self-installed) within a couple weeks of getting the car. My Five Axis lip kit ($1050 for the kit, paint and install) will be installed by the end of this week, and I plan on adding a custom dual exhaust (less than $300) by the end of the year. When all is said and done, I'll most likely have paid less for my aftermarket mods than the cost premium of the RS7.0 package.

In terms of interior additions, the RS6.0 with the Pioneer AVIC nav/ICE system, lighted door sills, four color LED lightting, etc. blows the RS7.0 away. Other than the RS stitching on the side of the seats, the RS7.0 fabric looks like a blue/purple version of the RS6.0 seat fabric. Of course, you can always add an AVIC, or similar system to the RS7.0 for a lot less than the cost of the RS6.0 package. So, it goes both ways

Too bad you can't combine all the RS7.0 exterior mods with the interior mods of the RS6.0 on one package - maybe the RS8.0. But, that might drive the price out of sight.

Oh well, modding and customizing my red box has been a lot of fun. If the Release Series came with EVERYTHING on it, there wouldn't be much left to make the car your own.
