Default Scion xB and k&n air filter

I have a 2011 xB. Just picked it up last week. I am wondering if anyone has replaced the stock air filter with a K&N Filter and if you have noticed any difference in performance/fuel consumption? Feedback would be appreciated.

I ran a K&N drop-in filter in my 2008 xB for 6ok miles after running OEM Toyota air filters for first 40k miles. Didn't notice the slightest difference at all, and I did track my calculated mpg the entire 98,286 miles that I owned the 2008. The plus side is better filtration, and being able to continually clean & reuse the filter so that you don't have to keep paying for OEM filters.

I have been running this on my xb2 with ZERO problems since I got the car (IE: no CEL's, no problems at all)!

I've been running with K&N Car Air Filter Accessories on my rig for like... a year and a half, no problems up til now. I think K & N stuff are good. People just expect too much of them
