When you're ready to start modding, let us know, many of us are really good at helping others spend their money.

(I'm one of them.)

Believe me I know how to do that as well, I come from owning an 02 WRX wagon with just over 300hp/tq at crank, that was my 2nd Subaru. Prolly stay stock for a bit, next is to buy a house, then after that the game is on!

Well if the wife didn't lose the camera somewhere in the house, I would get some pics up for you all.

It's white, always wanted a white subaru, so this will do for now

Mine's white too (SW). A couple basic engine mods can turn it into a real eager beaver, and a couple to the suspension can really kill body lean. Great little car and huge capacity for it's size.

My wife's parents love it, lol, now they want one due to the interior size.

What all have you done to yours? Some basic mods now, then see what happens.

Thanks for all the thanks guys!! Awesome welcome from a new board is good

Time has gone by and I've done a pile of various sorts -- but let's narrow it down to what you're specifically interested in improving. It really doesn't make sense for you to converge on my personal preferences -- by definition, they're personal.

Congrats on your new ride (like you're going to get much wheel time in it because everyone ELSE will be driving it). You're going to love modding it, whether it's a little or a lot. You'll get the best bum advice from the best backyard broke-anics on the web! My first word of advice: if you're redoing your audio and running new cables, wear knee-pads, trust me. :-)

The audio is good enough for me right now. So far I will learn the car stock then prolly do some simple suspension/drivetrain mods. And some exterior mods here an there. Thanks guys!
-Joe
ps- 1st she needs a real nice polish/wax job. It's been super rainy here and dealer kinda did a ____ poor job washing it last.

If you're thinking eventual suspension mods, my first suggestion is to pick up a TRD rear sway bar -- huge impact on body sway/lean. Personally, I like TRD Sparks as an aftermarket supplier: http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1566 -- very quick to ship, very reliable.

If you're thinking engine mods, the quickest and easiest change is to remove the snorkle feeding air into the OE airbox -- an immediate improvement !

I was actually just about to search about this. Is there a DIY writeup about this that you know of?

And rear sway is prolly 1st thing I will do suspension wise, for now. Thanks

Don't know about a DIY, but it's really pretty straightforward just using inspection. Though I seem to remember removing the battery made it easier for me.

PS. Here're a couple photos I just took -- as you can see, there's very little to it:

The intake flare is a separate piece that attaches to the snorkel and has a clip mount above it. The snorkel plugs into the airbox and has a clip mount near the bottom and a bolt mount near the fuse box. As I said, I removed the battery to get easier access to the lower clip, but the task is very straightforward.
