My daily commute will, as the seasons change, have me facing directly into the sun with a lot of variations. I have probably driven at least a dozen different cars over that road. They all sucked to varying degrees. I had one car that had them great, but I almost always think of sunvisors as useless given the constantly changeing angles of the light. What I need is a telescoping bar on the sucker that allows it to flow position better.

FYI, goto walmart and try a pair of their polorized sun glasses. They fit those who do and do not already wear glasses. Loved them in my benz as you can look right at the sun, however if you hold your head at certain angles, the radio display blacks out. No problems with sun in my xa, I sit soo tall the celling blocks the sun.

Default sun visor sucks

Yeah, they do suck. My other vehicle is a 2002 Prerunner V6 with the extended sun visor, covered the whole side. Scion recently sent me a survey and asked me what do I not like about the xB and I told them straight up, get that extended sun visor for our cars. Hopefully they get the msg.

I sit high and close enough it's not too bad - my problem is that I can't find a CD holder to fit on the xB's visors. I think I'm just going to have to make a sewing project out of attaching velcro to elastic straps to fit one over. I saw a Scion visor on ebay, but it looks like a homemade project that's too expensive and the shipping is an act of scalping. I refuse to let people make extra money off shipping a lightweight object.

for me, they suck only because i'm tall enough that the get right in my line of sight. i've never used them in any vehicle i've owned anyway, so it's not that big of a deal. but the wife keeps trying to use hers, and it's downright annoying because it basically kills my visibility when turning right.

Oklahoma's law is 35 front 20 rear and back but my brother and a few friends have 5 all around and have never been hassled. I had 20 all around and got pulled over twice for speeding but I never got a tint ticket. You'd think the cops in CA have more important things to do than screw with traffic tickets but I guess not.

About the crappy sunvisors...

I have a vacation coming up in a couple of weeks and it's my mission to do some mods on my box AND fix this damn problem. I took a roadtrip on Sunday and baked the left side of my body until the sun went down. I was thinking about trying to install a dodge or chevy truck visor extension into the stock xB visors. I'm going to hit up the salvage yards to see what I can come up with. My pop has a durango and the headliner color matches mine pretty close. I'll post results/how to if everything works out.
